This InshaAllah, this Friday I will be driving up north to visit my Tok. Its been a while since my last visit (which was in May probably). The past few weeks, I have been thinking about her rather often. Contemplating, I decided to visit her this holy month with my parents. Hoping that this visit will somehow makes her happy.
I don't miss her much, well I don't think I can. How do I miss someone whom one has never been in constant contact with? I have never lived with her, she has stayed with us for a bit but that was just a one time off.
But I love her. She is my grandmother, I suppose it comes naturally. Often I think of her well being, although not necessary wanting to care for her. Having said that, I will not decline the opportunity to care for her. If she chooses to come and live with me, I will say yes (probably choking at the same time, but I will say yes).
Soon, I will see her and hug her. I will tell her that I love her. And Alhamdulillah, I am happy to say that I can sincerely say that now.
